The 2016 Play Institute draft agenda is now available online. We have a great schedule lined up for teachers, providers, and administrators to learn more about the importance of respecting play for children.
World renowned trainers Toni and Robin Christie from the Childspace Early Childhood Institute in Wellington, New Zealand will share their knowledge and best practices around showing respect for children, creating stimulating learning programs for children, designing outdoor play spaces, and building community-centered, culturally appropriate play spaces.
PLAY INSTITUTE LOGISTICS
Dates. The Play Institute will be Friday, June 24, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST through Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST.
Registration. The Institute costs just $150. Space is filling up, so make sure you register today!
Hotel. NICCA has reserved hotel space at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton at Warren Place. Rooms are $89/night, but they are quickly selling out. Book online or by phone (800-801-1317, reference National Indian Child Care Association).
Site visits. NICCA is in the process of organizing site visits to local child care centers in the greater Tulsa area - Tribal and non-Tribal. Check our website later this week for sign-ups. There is very limited space and visits will be on a first come, first served basis.
