Position Summary
The Family and Health Services Manager will provide the core services of case planning for the wellness of all children and families. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that support services for families are carried out and that the needed health services for children are conducted effectively and efficiently. S/hhe will also be responsible for coordinating with staff and other health contractor for special needs, behavioral management issues that may include family counseling and/or play therapy, health screenings, wellness checks, and immunizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee Family Service Coordinators.
Ensure developmental screenings are conducted by classroom teachers and the Family Service Coordinators as needed in accordance with Performance Standards.
Maintain individual health records of all children and complete health tracking reports.
Create action plans addressing health and safety needs of children as identified in the child’s development and health screening.
Work with staff and parents in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Health and Safety activies within the established curriculum that include education related to health, safety, nutrition and dental health.
Work with the Family Service Coordinators as needed to engage families and identify resources to help meet the individual needs of families.
Provide advocacy, outreach, and referrals to social service providers and other programs on behalf of children and families.
Prepare a written Family Health Services.
Maintains full confidentiality of information of clients and all agency matters.
Must be able to work extended hours to meet agency and community needs.
Perform any additional duties designated by the Executive Director.
Supervision
The Family Services Manager will report to the Early Head Start-Child Care Director
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
BS, BA in family or pediatric health, social work, or related field is strongly desired or combination of education and related experience totaling five (5) years. Related MS or RN encouraged.
Have a valid driver’s license, be insurable and be willing/able to travel both locally and out of state
Have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children
Satisfactorily complete the required background check and drug testing
Experience:
Demonstrated knowledge of child health and development required.
Experience working in a social services setting related to early childhood programs, specifically federal and tribal social services desired.
At least 1-year experience in case management and/or social work, desired.
Extensive experience and profiency using MS Outlook, Word, Published, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Adobe Suite. Knowledge of shared network, such as Sharepoint, Google Docs, Dropbox, desired.

Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, verballing and in writing
Abiity to prepare reports and presentations in a professional manner
Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
Regular, dependable, on-time attendance to ensure consistent, high quality services to children and family
Ability to handle highly stressful and sensitive situations in a professional manner
Physical Requirements
Able to perform the following physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accomodations: Able to walk, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 10 lbs., and occasionally life and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Salary
Range: $45,000 - $54,000. Contingent upon education and experience.
