National Criminal Background Checks Webinar Series

Dear Colleague:

The Office of Child Care (OCC) is excited to continue the National Criminal Background Checks webinars. Co-hosted by the National Center on Subsidy Innovation and Accountability (NCSIA), these national webinars will provide policy clarifications captured during previous National Criminal Background Checks webinars as well as during criminal background checks technical assistance (TA) conference calls. These webinars will also be a forum for open discussion with OCC policy staff, NCSIA TA staff, and your fellow state and territory counterparts.

OCC looks forward to continuing these webinars as a forum for discussion and to share new state and territory highlights, key TA resources, and other ways that states and territories continue to implement their criminal background check efforts. The December 11 webinar will focus on provisional employment and the process of obtaining fingerprint results prior to hiring staff.

Webinars will be held monthly starting on December 11, 2017, from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time [EST]). They will also be recorded and made available for those who are unable to join the live presentation. The first three dates for the webinars are as follows:

  • December 11, 2017, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. (EST)

  • January 9, 2018, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. (EST)

  • February 12, 2018, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. (EST).

You can register for all the webinars by following this Web link.
