OCC oversees and assists the efforts of states, territories, and Tribes that administer the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program. The CCDF program is a multibillion-dollar initiative that provides child care assistance to low-income working families and increases the availability and quality of child care and development services.

As a Supervisory Child Care Program Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experiences by:

  • Providing strategic and effective oversight of assigned CCDF lead agencies by using available information sources, lead agency contacts, onsite visits, and formal monitoring

  • Developing and maintaining partnerships in collaboration with government and nongovernment entities to share information on ACF and OCC goals, policies, and/or strategies

  • Coordinating and providing technical assistance that promotes high-quality child care services, subsidy administration, and compliance

  • Providing timely information to supervisor and other OCC staff members on lead agency issues relevant to cross-program activities that can support OCC participation and inclusion in regional and cross-regional initiatives and/or activities that affect CCDF lead agencies

  • Participating in or serving as the team lead on specific CCDF topics/areas of work, and/or participating in or serving as the team lead for at least one child care/early childhood content area.
